We already knew she lived in our neighborhood but she is also keenly aware of how a house in our neighborhood should be priced and marketed. She helped us stage the house and used a photographer who took amazing shots that provided a professional, well lighted and flattering pictures to showcase our home. She marketed it well, using effective tools but not wasting time on the type of marketing that some retailers use to show you they are working hard but really have no hope of moving your home. During the marketing period my wife and I were out of town quite a bit. Melinda and David were great partners in the way they took care of our pets and went out of their way to make sure that anyone who looked at the house got the best possible experience. She treated us like special clients I truly felt that we worked together like a true team to use each other's strengths to get our house sold. When we started to waiver on the price we were asking Melinda listened and would have done whatever we asked. But she was also kindly assertive in how she reminded us of our initial marketing plan and convinced us to stick with it. Once we got the offer and began working through the process of selling she stuck with it diligently and took ownership for everything. She even took ownership of getting our AC repaired when it failed right before closing. We were out of town at the time and Melinda found a service company and got everything taken care of with a "don't worry about a thing, I'll take care of it attitude". She was also assertive with the buyers and their agent. Our situation was tenuous with regard to the purchase of our new home depending on the sale of the old home and we gave in on quite a few points. Melinda went along with all of it while gritting her teeth because she knew what we needed. When she felt it was too much she stepped in and protected us from being taken advantage of. The result of all this is that our house sold in about 5 weeks (faster than the average house in our neighborhood) and we got a price per square foot that was very high for our neighborhood. She is by far the best we have ever worked with.
